    This Season’s Softball Team

The five-time NWAC Champion Softball Team has a lot to be proud of on the field and off the field. The Saints are not only Champions on the field but Champions off the field as well. The Saints annually participate in the Race for the Cure and host several softball clinics to young women and girls in the community. These young ladies also boast one of the highest team GPA’s within the NWAC.

  • Saints win NWAC Championship! Hendrickson and Staff named NFCA Coaching Staff of the Year

Behind a well-balanced offensive attack and outstanding defense, the Saints captured their sixth NWAC Championship in program history.  After being down 6-0, the Saints roared back against the Bellevue Bulldogs to force the game into extra innings.  With two outs in the bottom of the eighth, NWAC All-Tournament selection, McKenzie Kosmicki singled to drive in Hope Burke from second for the winning run to give the Saints the 8-7 victory!  Marley Johnson was outstanding in relief for the Saints pitching seven innings while only allowing one run to give the Saints the opportunity for the comeback.  Johnson would also be named to the NWAC All-Tournament Team.  National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Catcher of the Year, Hailey Davis was awesome at the plate, going 12-16 for the tournament with five home runs and 22 RBIs while playing excellent defense behind the plate.  Davis was named the NWAC Tournament MVP for her performance. Delaney Duchek and NFCA Golden Shoe award winner, Matlyn Leetch were named to the NWAC All-Tournament team as well.

Head Coach Brittany Hendrickson was named the NWAC Coach of the Year and the coaching staff of Hendrickson, Taylor Gould, Kayla Grahn and Rian Snowadski were named the NFCA Coaching Staff of the Year.
