STEP Apprenticeship
What is STEP Apprenticeship all about?

The STEP Apprenticeship program prepares participants for paid apprenticeships in the trades by offering coaching, navigation, and a variety of different support services.

Who is eligible?

It is free to enroll for STEP Apprenticeship. Participants must be:

18 years or older

SNAP eligible

Not receiving TANF

Not enrolled in high school

What’s in it for participants?

One on one coaching to develop an educational plan that prepares students to apply for apprenticeship programs.

Educational plans may include English as a Second Language classes, GED/Adult Basic Education classes, certified pre-Apprenticeship programs and other prerequisites to paid apprenticeships.

Trades career exploration, resume development, interview skills, and job search assistance.

Support in obtaining a debt-free education.

Financial assistance may include work clothes, tools, tuition, books, transportation, and more.
