“While at MHCC, I played in Larry McVey's Big Band. That band had some amazing players and won the Berkeley Jazz Festival two years straight. I learned a great deal from the guys in that band and of course from the great Larry McVey. It was because of Larry’s introduction to Stu Turner that I received a full music scholarship to Southern Oregon University. It was there that I began to act on stage and this changed the entire course of my career”
