  1. Apply online. The admissions process is quick, easy, and free! Within one to three business days, you will receive a unique MHCC ID.
  2. Complete the adult basic skills intake application. Once this application is completed, you will receive a confirmation email with your orientation date and time.
  3. Attend a required one-day, in-person orientation to register for classes.

Classes are 11 weeks long during the fall term, and 10 weeks long during winter, spring, and summer terms.

Tuition for each class is $30 per term. Fee waivers are available for those who qualify. Ask us about eligibility. Classes are in-person on the Gresham and Maywood Campuses. Some classes are also available online.

In-Person Classes

We offer language arts and math for all levels. Science and social studies are taught in the language arts class. We have morning and evening classes, Monday-Thursday.

Online Classes

We offer language arts and math for all levels online. You will need a computer or laptop and stable internet access to take online classes. If you do not have a computer or internet access, you may request a loaner laptop from the college. In online classes, you will work independently at home. You will meet with your instructor and classmates online via Zoom one to two times a week, watch videos, take quizzes, read articles, and complete math and writing assignments.
