Construction Program for English Language Learners (CPELL)

CPELL is a pre-apprenticeship program with English-language classes and construction training. Pre-apprenticeship programs are a great way to gain experience, build credentials, and prepare you with the skills to succeed in the trades. 

Program Details

  • 10-week program: introduction to construction trades, English-language classes, employment preparations, and job search assistance.
  • The training is full-time and hands-on during the day, Monday – Friday.
  • Participants develop the skills to be a strong candidate for registered apprenticeships and construction jobs.
  • Scholarships and support services are available!

Who should register?

Applicants should be at least 18 years of age. In addition, applicants must:

  • Have intermediate English skills (testing required).
  • Have a valid driver’s license or be working towards or be able to obtain one.
  • Be able to perform the tasks and duties of the program with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Be able to pass random drug testing.
