General Studies Exploratory Major
If you’re not exactly sure what you want your future career to be, that’s okay. At Mt. Hood Community College, our general studies exploratory major allows you to explore a variety of subjects while earning credits toward a degree.
The Experience
Program Details
Many students aren’t sure what they want to do when they first enroll at MHCC. Some end up applying for a health professions or career technical program. Others take an entirely different academic path. Regardless, an excellent way to figure out what you want is to take introductory classes and learn more about topics that interest you.
Your future
MHCC is a great place to take some courses to figure out what your future career path might be, and it’s much more affordable to figure it all out than a four-year university.
How To Get Started
You can start the general studies program during any term. Students admitted to MHCC can sign up for classes in the program after reading, writing, and math placement requirements have been met.
