Accelerated Welding Technology (VESL)
The Accelerate Welding Technology (VESL) certificate program is reserved for students learning English. Courses in the program help you learn welding skills, while also improving your workplace English skills. You can start as a beginner and learn essential welding skills in this program, preparing you for the industry. You'll master different welding methods and delve into blueprint reading, metallurgy, and CNC plasma cutting. To complete the program in just a year, enroll in the fall and attend full-day classes. However, you do have the flexibility to choose evening part-time classes. By the end, you'll have fulfilled almost half of the requirements for the Integrated Metals Associate of Applied Science degree.

The program starts with SMAW welding basics. Next, you'll learn GMAW and FCAW welding, with an overarching focus on safety. You'll get to do lots of hands-on work. In the next part, you'll study blueprints for welding. You'll also learn GTAW welding and get ready for your welding certificate. By the end, you'll have many skills needed for a welding job.
