IM123 :  Basic Sound Editing

Students explore the basic attributes of sound and its role in digital media production. The physical attributes of sound, acoustics, microphone design and application, and industry standard digital audio tools are covered.
Prerequisite: RD090, WR090 and MTH020, each with a grade of "C" or better, or placement above stated course levels. Co-requisite: IM120, IM122, IM124 and IM125. Concurrent registration in IM178 and student's choice of GD150, IM150, RB150 or TV150 is required.
