About the Program:
Mt. Hood Community College and Worksystems, in partnership with onsemi and Microchip, are excited to offer a two-week intensive introduction to the semiconductor industry.
This training will provide an introduction to the semiconductor industry, along with foundational knowledge in semiconductor manufacturing. It’s an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals interested in pursuing a career in this high-demand field. This course is designed for individuals who are new to the semiconductor industry. If you already have experience in semiconductors, this course may not be the right fit for you.
Physical Requirements:
Positions require the following physical demands:
- Lifting up to 25 lbs regularly
- Walking 3-5 miles per shift
- Standing or sitting for up to 9 hours per shift
- Working 12-hour shifts (day or night) on a compressed 4-day work week
- Wearing a cleanroom suit for extended periods
