Summer Bridge Student Orientation

Are you starting at Mt. Hood Community College this fall term? Or maybe summer was your first term?  

Starting college can be tough. So can returning to school after a long break. You may be uncertain about taking classes online or on campus, how to find help, or how to get questions answered. Summer Bridge is here to help!

What is Summer Bridge?

Summer Bridge is a free, interactive, and fun orientation course. You choose if you want to participate at MHCC‘s Gresham campus or online. We start by working together on campus or in Zoom. After the event is over, you can continue learning through our online Blackboard course at your own pace. We’ll teach you everything you need to know about taking classes and being successful at MHCC.  

Register today and:  

  • Get a head start for Fall Term.
  • Discover all the hidden things no one tells you about going to college.  
  • Learn how to use required technology tools so you can be successful while taking classes on campus or online.
  • Meet helpful staff and other new students.  
  • Learn how to access campus resources and departments. 
  • Enjoy MHCC SWAG and be eligible for awesome door prizes, like a TI-84 calculator or laptop computer!  

How to Register for Summer Bridge

Starting college can be confusing and overwhelming. Summer Bridge will help you get prepared and maximize your success. Registration is required. Choose the event that works best for you. Registration closes 48 hours before each event. Space is limited.

Summer Bridge Course: In-Person at Gresham Campus

A two-day course September 10-11, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. both days. You can choose to complete more lessons online at your own pace. Watch this video invitation to learn more.
