    Mace Archer
    Mace Archer

    Mace Archer (Director) is the Artistic Director for the Theatre Department at MHCC. Mace has enjoyed a long career as an actor and director. Each year he directs three shows for MHCC. Recent projects have included, The Music Man, Peter and the Starcatcher, and Spring Awakening. As an actor/producer, he launched the new Summit Theatre on the MHCC campus, appearing as the lead in Steven Dietz’s Fiction. Mace is delighted to bring a new youth program to East County, a youth program that prides itself on developing each student’s “Confidence, Creativity, and Collaboration.”

    Katie Becker Colon
    Katie Becker Colon

    Katie Becker Colon (Instructor) is the director of Education for the Nebraska Shakespeare Festival. As a professional performer, she has been featured at theatre across the country, including Virginia’s Barter Theatre, Albequerque’s Duke City Rep, and the Nebraska Shakespeare Festival. Katie has been a theatre educator for over a decade working for such esteemed youth programs as The Springer Opera House and The WildCat Theatre Conservatory. Katie is thrilled to bring her enthusiasm for theatre and young performers to the Gresham/Portland area.

    Ezra Colon
    Ezra Colon

    Ezra Colon (Instructor) is a classically trained actor whose work has been seen on stages across the country. A familiar face at both the Barter Theatre in Virginia and The Nebraska Shakespeare festival, he has juggled roles as meaty as Hamlet and as whimsical as Sir Toby in Twelfth Night. Ezra also has a background in musical theatre, having played Lefou in Beauty and the Beast and Dave in The Full Monty. A master teacher Ezra has worked with young actors of all ages for over a decade. As a specialist in movement and classical text, Ezra inspires and urges students to continually develop their theatre skills and self-confindence.
