Earn Your Associate Degree in Addition to Your Journey-level Card
You can build your future with a rewarding career in an apprenticeship trade! Apprenticeships can lead to high-paying careers in construction, building, and mechanics. MHCC works with with many apprenticeship training centers. While you work on your apprenticeship, you can also earn an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree from MHCC!
How to earn an AAS degree with your journey-level card
- Transfer any credits from other colleges that you have attended. Do this by requesting that your other college(s) send an official transcript to:

OR email to [email protected] - Complete and submit a graduation application with a copy of your journey-level card and, if this applies to you, a copy of your DD214. At this time, MHCC will evaluate received transcripts. When MHCC receives your graduation application, we’ll run a degree audit and let you know what classes, if any, you need to earn your degree. You can take these classes at MHCC. There are some online options available. You can also transfer credits from another college.
- Sign up for any needed classes. Prior to signing up for a class, you may need to reapply for admissions or take a placement test. You can apply or reapply online. You can learn more about college placement on our website.
