STEP Apprenticeship is a free program that helps you build a career in a trade. We can coach you as you look for positions, and we help you navigate a variety of different support services.
Why consider STEP Apprenticeship?
We’re here to help you achieve your goals! You will receive one-on-one help to make a plan that prepares you to apply for apprenticeship programs. We can help you:
- Plan English as a second language (ESL) classes, GED®, and Adult Basic Education classes, as needed.
- Identify certified pre-apprenticeship programs and other paths to paid apprenticeships.
- Develop your resume and interview skills.
- Search for jobs and explore career options.
- Earn a debt-free education.
- Find financial assistance for costs like work clothes, tools, tuition, books, transportation, and more!
Who is eligible?
Participants must be:
- 18 years or older.
- Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) eligible.
- Not receiving Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF).
- Not enrolled in high school.
