
Subaru University - Program Details
Subaru-U program provides you with a unique opportunity to gain work experience while being trained as a service technician for Subaru dealerships. And when you earn your degree at Mt. Hood Community College, you get to work with the most up-to-date equipment. The program is a two-part experience with training at both MHCC and at sponsoring Subaru dealerships.
Hands-on Learning
Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) is offering this opportunity in partnership with Subaru. The program can prepare you for various positions in the automotive field by giving you hands-on practice in both our auto shop on campus and at your sponsoring Subaru dealership.Program Outcomes
After completing this program you'll be able to:
- Demonstrate safe shop practices and hazardous material handling.
- Diagnose and repair electrical systems.
- Diagnose and repair engine performance systems.
- Diagnose and repair emission systems.
- Diagnose and repair internal combustion engine systems.
- Diagnose and repair automatic transmission and transaxle systems.
- Diagnose and repair manual drivetrain and axles systems.
- Diagnose and repair brake systems.
- Diagnose and repair automotive steering and suspension systems, automotive heating systems, and air conditioning systems.
- Perform minor vehicle services.
