Geography
The Geography program at Mt. Hood Community College teaches you about the Earth’s climate and soil, the forms and features of the land, and how people relate to it all. You also learn how to study, make sense of, and create maps. Because space and place affect many topics (such as health, climate, plants, and animals), geography can relate to many other college majors.

Program Details
While you pursue your Geography major you can complete courses toward the Social Science and elective requirements on your associate degree. This lets you earn most of your core credits at a lower cost before transferring to a four-year school to finish your degree.

While you pursue the Geography major you can complete elective courses toward your associate degree. If you want to transfer to a four-year school, you should work with your transfer school of choice and an MHCC advisor to make sure you are taking the right classes.
How To Get Started
You can start the Geography program during any term. Students admitted to MHCC can sign up for classes in the program after reading, writing, and math placement requirements have been met.
