Machine Tool Operator Certificate
In this program, you’ll get an introduction to metalworking jobs. You’ll learn basic metalworking skills that prepare you for entry level jobs. This includes learning how to set up and operate computer numerical control (CNC) machines such as lathes and milling machines.

In the machine tool operator program, you'll learn safe work habits in a modern shop setting. You'll learn to read blueprints and accurately measure with specialized tools. The training covers using manual and computer-controlled machines to shape metal parts just right. You’ll get to know how to set up and run different machines, like lathes and mills, and make parts that fit the design perfectly.

This certificate positions you for entry level jobs, as well as advanced learning if you want to pursue your associate degree.
How To Get Started
The machine tool operator certificate program is a limited-entry program. This means you must meet certain criteria before you can apply. The program admits 36 students every fall term.
