Nursing Assistant - Program Details

The Nursing Assistant program offers two choices: Nursing Assistant 1 (NA 1) and Certified Nursing Assistant 2 (CNA 2).

MHCC offers both the Nursing Assistant 1 (NA 1) and Certified Nursing Assistant 2 (CNA 2) so that you can get your career started or advance it after gaining some experience. MHCC also offers a vocational English-as-a-second-language nursing assistant training program as well for those seeking certification while also working to improve their English.Program Outcomes
After completing this program you'll be able to:
- Demonstrate competency in providing basic care to patients, including activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance.
- Follow established procedures for infection control and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Accurately measure and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respirations, and blood pressure.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
