The Fisheries Technology program at Mt. Hood Community College has trained skilled fisheries technicians for more than 40 years. Gain first-hand experience in raising fish and in sampling fish populations.
Mt. Hood Community College’s Fisheries Technology curriculum includes a combination of classroom study, field training and site visits, and hatchery-based work. The program prepares students to work either in the field, performing surveying and similar work, or at hatcheries raising fish.
How to Get Started
Fisheries Technology is an open entry program that begins only in the fall term. Students are admitted on a space available basis after academic criteria has been met. Registration for fall term begins in May.
