Share a Concern Form
The MHCC report a concern form is used for students to submit a variety of concerns to college administration. Some reasons to submit this form include:
- Sharing an academic dishonesty violation - Academic violations are things like cheating, copying someone else's work, or making fake records for the college.
- Sharing a non-academic violation - Non-academic issues are about student behavior that's not related to cheating in class. It could be things like causing trouble in class, stealing, being disruptive, or not following the rules.
- Sharing Discrimination, Harassment, or Retaliation - Discrimination and harassment occur when someone treats others unfairly or in an unkind way because of who they are. This can include things that make people feel uncomfortable or unsafe. Sexual harassment is about unwanted sexual behavior. Sexual misconduct can include having or attempting to have sexual contact with another individual without affirmative consent. Other issues like stalking, dating violence, domestic violence, sexual exploitation, and retaliation are also covered under this heading. These reports are looked into by the Title IX coordinator or human resources, depending on the situation.
- Sharing Worrisome Behavior - Sometimes, students may show signs that they're struggling, for example, they are not doing well in class, not taking care of themselves, or reacting strangely to situations. If you notice someone who might need help, submit this form to share your concerns with the Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT).
It's important to report these issues so that the right people can look into them and help make our college a better and safer place.
