Chrysler MCAP - Program Details

The Chrysler MCAP program provides a unique opportunity to earn income while training as a service technician for Chrysler, Dodge & Jeep manufacturer's current and future vehicles. The MCAP program is a two-part experience with training at both MHCC and the sponsoring Chrysler dealership.

Hands-on Learning

Mt. Hood Community College is offering this opportunity in partnership with the Chrysler. The program can prepare you for various positions in the automotive field by giving you hands-on practice in both our auto shop on campus and at your sponsoring dealership.

Program Outcomes

After completing this program you'll be able to:

  • Demonstrate safe shop practices and hazardous material handling.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical systems.
  • Diagnose and repair engine performance systems.
  • Diagnose and repair emission systems.
  • Diagnose and repair internal combustion engine systems.
  • Diagnose and repair automatic transmission and transaxle systems.
  • Diagnose and repair manual drivetrain and axles systems.
  • Diagnose and repair brake systems, automotive steering, and suspension systems.
  • Diagnose and repair automotive heating and air conditioning systems.
  • Perform minor vehicle services.

Courses and Curriculum

The courses in the Chrysler MCAP program combine in-class learning with hands-on experience. You’ll also need to complete general education classes, which can be completed in any term.
