Frequently Asked Questions

MHCC is excited to announce the program will officially start during fall term of 2024!

MHCC tuition rates are online.  Please note that the Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in cybersecurity has base tuition that is $100 more a credit hour than the cost listed for the Associate of Applied Science (AAS) or certificate-level programs. The Oregon State legislative bill that allowed this additional course to be offered did not provide additional funding to support the program. The additional tuition helps MHCC cover the program costs.

Students who completed and received an AAS degree in a cyber-related field within the last five years from MHCC can switch their majors by contacting admissions, records, and registration by email at [email protected] or by phone at 503-491-7393. If you received your degree more than five years ago, please contact one of our cybersecurity faculty advisors or coordinator.

Students who completed and received a non-cyber-related AAS degree (i.e. a degree in art, business, computer information systems, a healthcare profession, etc.) within the last five years should contact a cybersecurity faculty advisor or coordinator to see what options are available.

Students who completed and received an AAS degree in a computer information systems, computer science, or cyber-related field with technical skills training within the last five years can transfer their information to MHCC. Students who have partially completed a Bachelors degree and have either industry experience or industry certifications may also qualify. Potential students should fill out a general admission application to help start the process.
