Applied to MHCC? Here's what to do next

After you have been admitted to MHCC, you will need to meet the course prerequisites for reading, writing, and math listed below.

The Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) program starts at 300-level coursework. A student may start at any time in this 300/400 credit-level program through the following pathways:

  • Any student who successfully completed the MHCC Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in cybersecurity (networking and security operations or penetration testing) degree. Request to change your major after you complete your AAS.
  • Any student who has successfully completed an associate’s degree or equivalent. Equivalent can be two years of college course work from a university, college or credit applied from industry experience or a credential. Please note, students on this pathway will need to meet with a faculty advisor before starting the program to have transcripts or industry experience or certifications evaluated.

Any new students intending to be a BAS major who do not meet the criteria for one of the listed pathways above will start with one of the AAS cybersecurity degrees.
