In these roles, you will counsel individuals to help them understand and overcome personal, social, or behavioral problems affecting their educational or vocational situations. Or you will counsel students regarding educational issues, such as course and program selection, class scheduling and registration, school adjustment, truancy, study habits, and career planning.
Psychiatrists
As a Psychiatrist, you collaborate with physicians, psychologists, social workers, psychiatric nurses, or other professionals to discuss treatment plans and progress. You will also examine or conduct laboratory or diagnostic tests on patients to provide information on general physical conditions or mental disorders.
