Sociologists
As a Sociologist, your daily tasks will include analyzing and interpreting data to increase the understanding of human social behavior and collecting data about the attitudes, values, and behaviors of people in groups using observation, interviews, and review of documents.
Social Science Research Assistants
In this role, you will assist with the preparation of project-related reports, manuscripts, and presentations, and you will prepare tables, graphs, fact sheets, and written reports summarizing research results.
Equal Opportunity Representatives and Officers
In such roles, you will interview persons involved in equal opportunity complaints to verify case information and study equal opportunity complaints to clarify issues.
Climate Change Policy Analysts
As a Climate Change Policy Analyst, you will analyze and distill climate-related research findings to inform legislators, regulatory agencies, or other stakeholders and make legislative recommendations on climate change or environmental management based on climate change policies, principles, programs, practices, and processes.
Sociology Teachers, Postsecondary
As a Sociology Teacher, you will prepare course materials, such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts. You will need to keep abreast of developments in the field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences.
